De nombreuses recherches ont montré le lien entre maltraitance sexuelle vécue dans l'enfance et développement de divers troubles à l'âge adulte. Parmi les troubles constatés, le phénomène de revictimisation : certaines victimes pendant leur enfance sont à nouveau victimes une fois adultes. D'autres troubles, tels que des conduites à risque pouvant entraîner une exposition au HIV ou des conduites autodestructrices, nous poussent à penser que certaines victimes développeraient des troubles masochistes. Notre hypothèse est que le fait de subir une maltraitance sexuelle dans l'enfance, selon le niveau traumatique de l'agression et le sentiment de culpabilité ressentie par le sujet, favoriserait le développement de troubles masochistes. La recherche consiste à comparer des sujets ayant vécu une agression et d'autres n'en ayant pas vécu. Nous vérifions si parmi les premiers, nous retrouvons plus de sujets ayant développé une personnalité masochiste. Dans le cadre du mémoire, nous effectuons une étude de cas : le sujet qui a été étudié n'a pas présenté de personnalité masochiste, mais une personnalité dépressive. Le niveau traumatique supposé de son agression était élevé et celui de son sentiment de culpabilité moyen.
